What happens with user data in case Arcual as a company stops operating?
Blockchain technology by its design means that the technical infrastructure is distributed across potentially many servers (so-called “nodes”). As the Arcual blockchain gains wider adoption and the number of nodes grows, Arcual will not be the only entity responsible for running the blockchain.
If Arcual ceases to operate, then all that is required for one node to continue operating is for the data to be available and smart contracts to continue working.
This means that data and contracts will continue to be available, even without Arcual.
Who will have access to the Arcual chain, what data they will be able to use, and how, will be determined by the future development of Arcual, and we will do so in close consultation with our users.
